The Bendix® ET-F is an electronic treadle designed for Ford vehicles with electronically controlled diesel engines. It replaces traditional mechanical throttle systems by using a potenitometer (variable resistor) to control engine speed. As the driver presses the treadle, it rotates the potentiometer, changing its electrical resistance to signal the engine's ECU to increase or decrease fuel delivery.
